Sherry Camhy’s work is in the permanent collection of the Israel Museum of Art, the New Orleans Museum of Art, The New York Public Library, and The Telfair Museum of Fine Art, Savanah, Ga. It has been on exhibit at the Katonah Museum of Art, Parrish Museum, The Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Museum of Art, Montclair Art Museum, She is the author of “Art of the Penci,” "Robert Beverly Hale, Anatomy Notes, curated and wrote the catalogue of “The Silverpoint Exhibition at The National Arts Club.” She has written articles for “The Linea,”, Artist and Drawing Magazines." Her work has been reviewed in ArtNews, TimeOut, NY, American Artist, FineArtConnoisseur and International Artist Magazines.
She studied dissecting at New York University Medical School, painting with Odd Nerdrum at The Philadelphia Academy of Art and has a Masters in Art Education from Columbia University Teachers College. Sherry Camhy has given workshops at The Rockland Center for the Arts, The New York Academy of Art, Silvermine School of Art. as well as in places such as Mexico, Ireland, Italy. She is currently an instructor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, The School of Visual Arts, the Art Students League of NY. and gives private classes in her studio located in the West Chelsea Arts Building, NYC,
